Cory Monteith Meets Fans At Westfield Sydney

Today over 500 Australian Glee fans met Canadian actor and musician Cory Monteith at Westfield Sydney - city store.

Cory was there to promote Glee The Concert on Blu-ray and DVD, which fans snapped up from the JB Hi-Fi pop-up store.

It was wonderful to see Cory speak and get up close with the fans, as its the fans who ultimately tune in and buy merchandise which keeps actors in a gig.

Cory told the crowd that he was looking forward to holding a koala, which has long been a favourite wish of overseas actors while visiting our shores.

Something tells us a few of the young women in the audience might have imagined Cory was a koala, and wanted to cuddle up to him.

Show business bottom line - a lot of Glee DVD's were sold today, so it looks like long trip out here has paid for itself, and then some.

Glee can be seen on pay TV channel Foxtel many times per week, and of course now there's even more opportunities to own some of the Glee franchise on DVD.

A new series of Glee will be hitting Foxtel in 2012.

Extreme Cabaret Zeta Bar Hilton Halloween Girl - 28th October 2011

Sydney’s Zeta Bar at the Hilton Hotel got a bit of a leg up on the other Halloween themed entertainment tonight as their extreme cabaret unleashed Halloween Girl.

She was unmistakable, as Halloween girl showed off her skeleton er legs, torso et al.

This creation was one that you would not likely find at Luna Park or in a school classroom.

The dancing skeleton stirred up patrons appetite for a drink, nibble and photo opportunities, and there was plenty of tease in the mix.

Model Anastasiya Bakss pulled off the dancing skeleton routine beautifully, and seemed to get right into the spirit of things.

Someone from the crowd was overheard "My Halloween dream has come early. I've got the treat here, not the trick. This is tickling my funny bone".

You wouldn't have guessed, but tonight's creation was made up in only an hour. The creation was a massive hit at the Zeta Bar, and word spread around other floors of the Hilton.

Snatch the opportunity to do Sydney in a naughty and teasing way. Come again to Sydney Hilton next Friday night and experience the new phenom known as 'extreme cabaret'. Trick or treat? You will have to join us to find out.

Elle Macpherson new face of Invisible Zinc Myer Sydney, by Eva Rinaldi - 21st October 2011

Elle Macpherson

Elle Macpherson has scored her latest product endorsement, Invisible Zinc, letting the cat out of the bag at Myer Sydney today.

The famous super model is in Australia for both business and family matters (her father Peter Gow fighting a battle with cancer).

Elle looked great as she appeared in the popular Cosmetics Hall.

Friend Melissa Hoyer interviewed Elle on topics such as beauty products, lifestyle and what's she's learned about Suncare. Yes, of course Invisible Zinc got a mention by name, and the news was all good.

Myer group general manager Judy Coomber was very pleased about how everything went.

Elle, thank you for stopping by and letting us get some great shots, and all the best with your exciting business ventures and family matters in Australia.

Extreme Cabaret Egyptian Harlequin Creature Does Hilton Zeta Bar, by Eva Rinaldi - 14th October 2011

Extreme Cabaret Egyptian Harlequin Creature Does Hilton Zeta Bar, by Eva Rinaldi - 14th October 2011

Sydney’s Zeta Bar at the famous Hilton Hotel continued to delight with the extreme cabaret, the unique performance that is all the rage in Sydney, Australia.

If a drink and a splash of tease are your thing you have most come to the right place.

My Human Statue Bodyart was delighted to deliver a hot cabaret presentation, this time with a powerful Egyptian Babylonian mythological cabaret creature theme, finished off with black and white squares.

Tonight model Anastasiya Bakss was back again by demand, made up in an Egyptian Babylonian Extreme Cabaret Creature Feature' - ish mummy burlesque like number, with a black and white bodypaint on some of her extremities, and boy did it awake the crowd's 'Egyptian Yummy Mummy' fantasies.

You wouldn't have picked it, but tonight my 'Egyptian Babylonian Creature Feature' was made up in less than an hour. The creation was a massive hit at the Zeta Bar, and word quickly spread around other floors of the Hilton, until Zeta reached capacity crowd level.

A crowd member was overheard "It's my Extreme Cabaret Egyptian creature dream come true".

The extreme cabaret performances have rocked Hilton's Zeta Bar big time, and for this reason Hilton's around Australia, indeed around the world, are getting ready to add 'Extreme Cabaret' to their weekly line up. Last fortnight Hilton Surfers' Paradise got infiltrated by 'Extreme Cabaret', and they are eagerly awaiting another dose.

Snatch the chance to do Sydney in a unique fashion. Come again to Sydney Hilton next Friday night and check out 'extreme cabaret'. The Egyptian Babylonian Cabaret creature' has done her dash, and and being tucked back in her Mummy's tomb, but we heard a little something about Halloween themed cabaret monsters. Join us and see what all the excitement is about. Sweet dreams.

Specsavers continues NSW business expansion via bodypaint, by Eva Rinaldi - 16th September 2011

The ultra popular Australian eyewar retailer Specsavers has continued to show significant vision and daring in its latest campaign incorporating human statues into its marketing and media mix.

No, we're not talking about Alex Perry being the public face and voice of the company either, but rather a more measured media and marketing mix incorporating bodypaint and themed costumes.

It's marketing vision includes standing out from the pack, and they have again ramped up their campaign incorporating sales 101, superior customer service, quality products, and creativity... thanks to the eye catching human statues.

Last week Specsavers launched their Perth store, but today it was time for NSW via the Winston Hills store, following the lead from the Wetherill Park store this past Wednesday.

Specsavers is currently enjoying an Australia wide campaign which has been running like a freight train from NSW to SA, across to WA, and has now come back full circle to NSW via Western Sydney outlets in the heart of "Boganville".

It's been confirmed that countless retail masterminds from across the nation are watching the Specsavers - Human Statue Bodyart campaign closely, with rumblings dozens of other retailers are going to give the statues and bodypainting a go, in order to not be overshadowed by the dynamic and somewhat daring marketing tactics.

Impressive marketing and media tactics shown by Specsavers, or not? The watercooler chat states beancounters will know for certain in a matter of weeks, and early indicators demonstrate the eyewear retailer has shown great vision with the campaign, and that the rewards have far exceeded the risk.

A number of major retail giants such as Westfield's will soon be testing the waters with statues and bodypaint, and some heavyweights in the hotel - casino - resort sector will also be soon following suit, having caught wind of the campaign, with some also seeing human statues in action at a certain Sydney hotel...something about "Hilton" and extreme cabaret.

The retail industry is remaining divided as to if the statues were too "extreme" or not, but daring to be different may be one of the few ways to bring to life campaigns in the struggling retail sector.

Miranda Kerr was lovely in Sydney today at the and today she hit the David Jones store in Sydney at 12pm to relaunch of her Kora organics skincare range.

The supermodel signed autographs for fans and is clearly excited about it.

After having recently given birth to her baby Flynn, Miranda has said she was content to give up modelling and focus on her other projects if her body didn't bounce back.

"It's funny, but I really didn't mind if my body didn't go back to what it was before," Kerr said.
"I had decided during the pregnancy that between my skincare range, Kora Organics, and my book, Treasure Yourself, that there were plenty of other things I could do in my life.

Australasian Gaming Expo Report, by Eva Rinaldi - 22nd August 2011

Today was a important day on the Australian gaming industry calendar. It's the third and final day of the 2011 Australasian Gaming Expo, held at Darling Harbour in 'Sin City' Sydney, Australia. The event comes at a time where the spotlight on the Australian gambling industry may have never been brighter or so politically red hot.  My company, Human Statue Bodyart, was delighted to be in the thick of the action. Enter the events world of the Gaming Technologies Association...

Australasian Gaming Expo Open Day In Sydney...

Over 150 gaming - gambling exhibitors enjoyed day three at the Australasian Gaming Expo Open at Sydney's Darling Harbour. Dozens of big name brands were there including IGT (and its new 'Sex And The City' slot game), Aristocrat Technologies Australia, Ainsworth, Konami, WMS, ShuffleMaster and Bally.

Most of the exhibitors were making a return appearance from last year. It appeared they're were more exhibitors than "punters".

It's a huge production, with over 15,000 square meters decked out in gambling gear.

While big name companies like IGT somewhat dominated the event, it was impossible not to also recognise some of the smaller operations, as well as a few of IGT's competitors of sorts, thanks to their considerable branding and marketing efforts.

Here's the list of all of entities I was blessed to be able to speak with and photograph:

IGT
Aristocrat Technologies Australia
Ainsworth
Bally
Maxgaming
Keno
Paynter Dixon Hospitality
Tenrod Australia
Rohrig
Choice Paper & Imaging
Allpride Signs & Marketing
Paltronics Australasia
Maximun Light

As you can see from our photographs showcased on our Flickr, a great time was had by all, and the event was largely a success for all involved.

For the record, some of my personal favorite games are 'Sex And The City', 'The Phantom', 'Queen Of The Nile', 'Aussie Gold', 'Rose Tattoo', 'Jaws', 'Wheel Of Fortune' and Keno.

It's going to be interesting to see what poker machine manufacture is the one that will step up to battle with the red hot IGT slot - 'Sex And The City'. Will it be Australia's own Aristocrat or an international entrant.

Good on the organisers for also having coffee and bites on hand. 4.5 stars out of 5 for an excellent event, and we'll look forward to being on hand next year for more of the fun and games that is the Australasian Gaming Expo.

Masquerade party at Zoo Bar, Leichhardt talk of Little Italy, by Eva Rinaldi - 13th August 2011

Masquerade mania was all the rage tonight at Little Italy's Zoo Bar in Norton Street, which was celebrating a birthday.

The 40's plus crowd was into the masquerade theme, but only about 30 percent of the club goers went to any significant effort to dress to the theme.

The doors opened at 9.30pm and it didn't take long for a line up of roughly 100 people to build. The mix was about 40% guys to 60% girls, which one would suspect will be good for business.

As is sometimes the case, it appeared that some of the ladies who went to extra effort in dressing up got a bit of an "unfair advantage" in getting in early, but I think its fair enough when people make the extra effort in dressing to impress (and in this instance that also included having an impressive mask.)

The cost of the evening was only $20, and was even better hunting at $15 if you were lucky enough to have a "priority entry pass".

Overall the organisers and security did an excellent job of controlling the "party animals" and maintaining order, while there was just enough wildness that one and all were ensured of having a great time.

Special thanks to Von on the door for your assistance to news media at the event.

By the look of the party there's going to be quite a few folks who attended waking up in the morning with a masked stranger in their bed, or on the lounge, whatever the case.

The event was a success, and its a safe bet that the 40's plus crowd will be back to The Zoo Bar again next Saturday, with or without masks.
