Human Statue Bodyart bodypainted tiger popular at Pharmarama, Sydney event; Catches eye of tourists, corporate types and guests on trip from Manly Wharf to Luna Park, Milsons Point, Sydney, Australia

The Human Statue Bodyart creative arts agency has been extremely busy of late as Australia heads towards a sizzling hot Christmas.

This afternoon the Sydney - Australia based creative arts and entertainment agency, Human Statue Bodyart, bodypainted a tiger (model, Calum Winsor), who was a big part of today's Pharmarama entertainment.

For the record the client was Pharmarama and most of the Luna Park entertainment took place in 'Big Top Sydney'. By all accounts the crowd of hundreds certainly caught 'The Eye Of The Tiger'... or the tiger by the tail, if you prefer. Even the ringmaster mentioned him on the megaphone.

Mr Winsor was in tiger character for the duration of the ferry trip from tourism hotspots, Manly Wharf and Luna Park, Milsons Point, and photographers and guests couldn't keep their claws off him.

Fortunately the tiger's paint did not run on the journey, as the artists used special weather resistant best of breed bodypaint, which was not spoilt despite some light rain encountered.

The Pharmarama festivities continued into the evening at The Big Top, Luna Park, with a ringmaster and clowns on stilts directing hundreds of guests to all the action.

Well done to everyone involved in the success of the Pharmarama event, and we look forward to seeing Manly and Luna Park going animal again really soon.

Le Pub, Sydney gets Napoleon living statue by Human Statue Bodyart

Human Statue Bodyart Napoleon human statue entertains at French themed Le Pub bistro , Sydney, Australia CBD...

Recently French themed club and bar, Le Pub, situated on Sydney's King Street, became the latest club - bar establishment in Sydney, New South Wales to enjoy a living human statue by creative arts agency, Human Statue Bodyart.

Napoleon entertained a crowd which consisted of many French speakers, at the popular inner city club.

The Napoleon outfit and creation was worn by model / entertainer, John Sparton, who entertained at Le Pub for 2 hours on the busy Thursday night.

The costume mainly consisted of material, bodypaint, and of course, a Napoleon styled hat.

Creative artist Eva Rinaldi, led the team of artists at Human Statue who worked on the project. Eva said "The Napoleon human statue once again proved to be a huge hit for entertaining patrons. He's been one of our most popular and enduring creations over the years. Le Pub was absolutely delighted with our Napoleon creation. The Human statues are not only creative but they can also be very good for business. They have proved to increase patronage in a competitive entertainment and club environment and encourage patrons to stay longer... meaning they usually eat and drink more than they usually would also. It's a true win - win for all involved."

About Le Pub...

Lean at the bar with a cold frothy beer or cosy up in a comfy booth for your journey; whatever your choice you won't be disappointed.

Complete with TAB, big screens, private dining and dual eating & dining areas, Le Pub hails all the elements of a true pub environment. A quick meal or a boozy lunch; after work drinks or an elegant function; Le Pub is your ideal retreat.

Celebrated publican Patrick Gallagher and his team have come together with Interior Designers Luchetti Krell to create an inspiring underground space that woos thirsty local workers and tempts all appetites.

Le Pub mixes the romance of Paris with the "every day" of the Metro; the glamour of the first class cabin converges with industrial elements reflecting steel works and underground construction effortlessly.

Eat & Drink...

Gallagher Hotels' award winning Executive Chef Ronny Ghantous has put together a menu that celebrates true French dining. After the success of the Union Hotel in North Sydney, Le Pub's menu has been refined to showcase the simplicity and robust flavours that Parisians enjoy as part of their daily lives. Grounded and accessible, Ghantous aims to promote "every day" French food; covering all the crowd favourites like Bouillabaisse and Bourguignon.

Meanwhile, Angela Gallagher has been busy pulling together an enviable wine list that features - amongst all the crowd favourites and many stunning surprises - a great selection of champagnes by the glass.

A quick meal or a boozy lunch; after work drinks or an elegant function; Le Pub is your ideal retreat. Escape the bustling CBD and be transported to another era. Le Pub at once celebrates both the luxury of the late 1800's and the every day simplicity of a true Parisian styled bistro.

Nestled underground with dual entrances from both King and York Streets, Le Pub's interiors are cleverly inspired by the Paris Metro. Curved, tiled walls, light-ceilings, brass, copper & fluted glass await.

Miss Zeta at Sydney Hilton Hotel; Recap from Hilton Hotel, Sydney, Australia...

The Hilton marquee Hilton reads: "Zeta`s "CONEY ISLAND" is our exciting new Friday Nights concept. Experience evenings of the unexpected, perfectly paradoxical and the weird and wonderful, with extravagant entertainment and a creative mix of classic cocktails with progressive and fun elements."

The Hilton Hotel franchise and our friends at the Zeta Bar were serious and they were back to the Coney Island theme last Friday night, with an 'Ms Zeta Bar Girl Girl' for the evening's entertainment.

The action was all mixed with a specially concocted range of classic cocktails with a twist, like Cosmopolitan Candy Floss, Toffee Apple Martinis and Long Island Iced Tea snow cones and much, much more, with with the 'Ms Zeta Bar Girl' adding addition excitement.

The team at Human Statue Bodyart created the 'Americana Girl', led by creative artist Eva Rinaldi, and assisted by bodyart and bodypaint veteran, Vince Cantali, who also shares a fetish for dressing models up and painting on human bodies.

The Coney Island theme was once again a huge hit and Human Statue talent will be continuing to entertain patrons at the Zeta on most Friday nights for another month we understand.

Very well done to everyone involved in the success of the Coney Island promotion and we're certain the titillating entertainment will keep patrons coming back for more.

It's all there for the taking at Hilton's little slice of paradise in Sydney's CBD and its you're big chance to see why 'Coney Island' is so popular the world over.

Zeta Bar pushed the boundaries of cabaret, bringing the sexy mystique of 19th century underground back to life in Extreme Cabaret.

Extreme Cabaret was a delicious smorgasbord of fantasy and magic, wit and whimsy served with sides of lunacy and luxe, and very well lubricated with prohibition-style cocktails, mystifying molecular cocktails and delectable morsels.

About Zeta Bar...

As a progressive cocktail bar and exclusive escape in the Sydney CBD, Zeta changed the face of Sydney’s bar culture when it launched as part of Hilton Sydney in 2005. Today, Zeta has won multiple awards year on year for its bartenders, playful drinks, cocktail classics and seasonal, trend setting concepts; the latest of which being ‘Extreme Cabaret’.

Access to Zeta is via glass elevator at the Hilton Sydney entrance on George Street. Zeta boasts a chic, outdoor terrace overlooking the iconic Queen Victoria Building. A VIP lounge and selection of private booths and breakout areas in luxe purple and dark wood interiors underline Zeta as the CBD cocktail bar to be seen in and part of.

An exclusive escape for visiting international celebrities too, Jessica Simpson, Kimberley Stewart, James Blunt, Snoop Dogg and Nicole Ritchie have all partied at Zeta and regular Aussie A-listers include Jennifer Hawkins, Hugh Jackman, Ian Thorpe and Megan Gale.

Naked Body-paint Model Settles Lawsuit with New York City...

22-year-old model Zoe West, arrested last summer in New York City's Times Square during a body-painting expo, has been able to settle her lawsuit filed against the city, according to her legal eagle.  The city wil be paying the risque model $15,000.

Ron Kuby, West’s lawyer, stated that the model never should have been arrested in the first place; public nudity is not illegal in the city as long as it is a part of a show, exhibition, or performance.  The Law Department of NYC could not (or would not) be reached for comment.

West and her lawyer filed the lawsuit in Manhattan after West alleges she was arrested in violation of her rights; she argued that at the time of her arrest, she was being painted by controversial artist Andy Golub.

The model, although inconvenienced by the episode, went on record having no regrets about the body-painting incident and her subsequent arrest.  She has publicly stated that the entire situation has put her "on the map in a positive way."

The public nudity law has critics and supporters; however some people in the general public felt that West should have had her nude body painted in a private residence before the photo shoot or should have had it done indoors rather than outdoors in full public view. Maybe that was by design to help garner extra attention. If that was the case, it worked a charm, with news all over the U.S, Australia and beyond.

Artist Andy Golub has also had plenty of issues with law enforcement as he prefers to paint his nude models in public outdoor spaces.  His latest arrest took place last year.

Military Body Painting Calendar Popular...

The world's ongoing wars haven't hurt the sales of military body painting themed calendars, and in fact they look to have rocketed sales worldwide. Not exactly the Pirelli Calendar, but something different. Check Google for more details.

Body Art Awards in New Zealand...

Being covered in body paint in the name of art is an increasingly popular trend in New Zealand, and international judges are impressed with how creative the Kiwi's are becoming.

Some of the country's most imaginative artists showcased their talents last Sunday at the seventh annual Body Art Awards in Auckland.

The event was extravagance personified. Designed around a futuristic theme, ethereal other-world beings came to life last night in Auckland.

"What I've noticed is they're putting more into that art, covering more of the body, including the hair, adding on fancy fingernails, right down to the toes, and that has spread the art as a complete piece to give a greater impact," says international judge Elizabeth Osborn.

Forty-nine contestants from as far as the United States worked with body paint, prosthetics, and wigs and more to showcase their best efforts.

Auckland's Julian Bartram even used his two children to give an alien-like sensory overload, wowing the judges for a win in the mask category.

But it was a bizarre foam and latex being by Sofia Beu-Pederson from Denmark that wowed the international judges. A stint studying here after winning her category last year was enough to sharpen her imagination and take out the grand prize.

"She did a very good job of constructing the mask,” says Ms Osborn “The paint job was amazing right down to the toes."

You can bet designers next year will take hair-raising to a whole new level.

Body paint and body art business searches on Google...

Not to anyone's surprise, searches for bodypainting and bodyart are some of the most popular art and fashion searches performed on search engines such as Google.  Google won't give exact numbers, but they are huge. This is part of the reasons bodypainting and bodyart creative arts companies strive to attain the highest Google ranking as possible, looking to snatch corporate and private bodypainting and bodyart clients and opportunities. In the meantime, the general public are enjoying a wonderful array of bodypainted models showcased online. Could a Google art or bodyart showcase or shop be next? Don't change your dial and be watching out for Google TV when it comes to your city.

City 2 Surf news report: Human Statue Bodyart paints Nova96.9 runner Wippa

This morning the annual Sun-Herald City 2 Surf fun run took place.

It started off wet and windy, but about half an hour into the race weather conditions generally improved.

The race was as competitive as ever, but for one major sponsor, Nova 96.9FM, exposure and publicity was of paramount importance - not that finishing strongly wasn't also on the agenda.

Nova personality Wippa and a few of his mates got body-painted up courtesy of human statue agency, Human Statue Bodyart.

Wippa was made up with red and black bodypaint and it was impossible to miss the logos from supporters and sponsors including those from Nova, Dick Smith, The Stampede and New Love.

City 2 Surf News Report...

Liam Adams has become the first back-to-back winner of the City2Surf run since Dickson Marwa in 2006-07, besting his rivals to take out the 14-kilometre race in 00.41.31 minutes.

With his biggest challenger, Michael Shelley, competing in the Olympic marathon in London, it was all there for Adams to capitalise.

After grasping the lead early from the 8am start, Adams didn't seem fazed by the wet weather and strong winds, snatching a 40-second lead at the 5-kilometre mark and having the race convincingly won by the climax of Heartbreak Hill.

With fellow pre-race favourite Mitch Brown on his tail, Adams also left eventual runner-up Harry Summers in a race for second as he entered the back half of the race completely unchallenged.

He is the first Australian since Steve Moneghetti in the early 1990s to win back-to-back.

"I took the risk in going out and taking it too hard," Adams said.

"I actually blew up a bit so I thought I'd made the wrong choice and Harry is an even-matched runner with me. We've got close PBs [personal bests] and I thought he was going to run over me at the end.

"I thought I sightly broke him a little bit more up Heartbreak and a couple of those other hills and I just held on for dear life."

Some commentators thoughts that Sydney's torrential rain and gail-force winds made it arguably the worst racing conditions in City2Surf history.

In 42 years, only twice had it rained during the world's biggest run, but the capacity 85,000 entrants felt mother nature's stormy power.

There was early relief when the race started in relatively dry conditions, but by the time Adams and his chasers entered the second half of the event they were met with fearsome head on winds.

"It was worse than last year – that wind coming into Bondi was tough," Adams said.

"I thought I'd be best at cutting the wind but that wasn't quite the case. It was tough."

It was forecast to be one of the slowest City-2Surf's as a result, someone didn't notify the 25-year-old defending champion – who finished only 20 seconds slower than his 2011 time of 00.41.11 - and women's winner Lara Tamsett, who crossed in 00.46.55.

Of course, in the men's field, a number of regular entrants were unavailable due to Olympic commitments, including 2011 runner-up Shelley who will race in London tonight. And in the women's field, the race was wide open with defending Jess Trengove also in London. Instead, it was 2010 winner Lara Tamsett who was the favourite and snatched victory.

While none of the seeded or preferred runners came close to Steve Moneghetti's 1991 race record of 00.40.03 minutes or Suzie Power's 00.45.08 set in 2001, the race wasn't without its challenges, with competitors hit by a wet and slippery road and strong head winds.

Second for the women's was Clare Geraghty in 00.48.55 minutes and third Abigail Bailey in 00.49.26. Summers and Brown finished in times of 00.42.22 and 00.42.28 minutes, respectively.

Many celebrities took part in the race in the name of charity, including celebrity chef Neil Perry, radio personality Wippa, boxer Lauryn Eagle and Biggest Loser winner Margie Cummins.
