A great body of work for Abbotsford body painter Eva Rinaldi

EVA Rinaldi can turn you into a tree, a lion or a statue. But never fear, there is no sorcery here, it is all done with paint and a brush.
Ms Rinaldi has been using humans as her canvas at her Abbotsford-based body painting business Human Statue Bodyart for more than a decade. She said it all began when her son was born 16 years ago.
She said she had previous experience as a make-up artist and began face-painting children at events.
"I was face painting and I was asked if I could paint a model for a magazine. It grew from there," she said.
Having never studied or practised art in the traditional sense, she said her work was an extension of her experience as a make-up artist - creatively using the face and eventually the whole body as her blank canvas throughout the transformation.
Ms Rinaldi says she goes through about 20 litres of body paint a week.
Eva Rinaldi has worked as a make-up artist with some of the biggest names in Hollywood including Lady Ga Ga, Robert Pattinson and Hugh Jackman

The Punisher Body Painting

Human Statue Bodyart does bodypainting, bodyart and costume designs for fanboys at Supanova pop culture expo, Sydney, Australia 2013; The Punisher (Marvel Comics) superhero spotted at Sydney Supanova...

Superhero fans out there... today Sydney, Australia got its first dose of Supanova - Superhero and pop culture mania again for 2013.

Superheroes remained a popular theme at the famous expo that tours most capital cities of Australia, including Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide and the Gold Coast.

Fanboys and fangirls have been dressing up as their favourite characters for as long as we can remember, and this year the competition continued to heat up, as creative arts and bodypainting / bodyart agency, Human Statue Bodyart created some superhero creative works for Supanova, with photographic evidence surfacing that demonstrates the agency created at least one 'The Punisher' (of the the darker superhero characters from Marvel Comics aka Marvel Entertainment).

Marvel Comics / Marvel Entertainment superheroes appear to be a bit more popular than the DC Comics / Warner Bros. characters this year. Neither Marvel or DC / Warner Bros. are official sponsors or advertisers at the popular pop culture expo, but that doesn't seem to have effected the exposure they receive.

Speaking of exposure, it was great to see the guys and girls from AWF (Australasian Wrestling Federation at Supanova again this year. These guys sure know their pro wrestling and they appeared to attract a crowd of between 400-500. AWF promoter, Greg "TNT" Bownds is doing a top job, and has been in the business for over 14 years now, which is like a lifetime in pro wrestling circles.

Take time to dress your best, as we understand lots of news media will be attending with photographers and video cameras, so if you look great there's a decent chance you will make the news in some fashion!

If you didn't make it today - a wet Saturday by anyones standards, don't worry - you can still attend tomorrow.

CIO Networking Event gets bodypainted dancers and Italian statues from Human Statue Bodyart - 12th June 2013... Last night IDG Communications leading publication and brand, CIO, got some extra excitement and positive buzz at their annual CIO Networking event at The Art Gallery of NSW in Sydney. Human Statue Bodyart was engaged to supply dancers and statues for the prestigious event only after IDG Communications had conducted extensive research of the bodypainting, bodyart, human statue and performance art aspects of the Australian entertainment industry. The goals of the CIO Networking event included: to education, to facilitate networking and business opportunities and to do it in a creative, stimulating and entertaining environment (that's where Human Statue dancers and statue performers came in). The dancers, some of which were painted to compliment surrounding paintings in the gallery. By all accounts, the dancers numerous rehearsals over the past weeks paid dividends, with special guests and management being suitably impressed with the quality of the entertainment. Over 100 special guests attended the networking event and the performers received plenty of compliments from the executives and event organisers. The dancers and statues were prepared off-site, as per contract specification, and they were brushed up and giving final finishing touches on-site at the gallery. Only the finest bodypaint materials and special effects were used, to maintain the high standards of both the client and the creative arts company. Ms Rinaldi said "We were delighted to create and deliver our entertainment, human statue and creative arts package for our valued client, IDG Communications. The CIO Networking event is one of their biggest events of the year, we are all very pleased that the job went ahead as planned and was delivered to spec and on budget. I'm very grateful to everyone who helped put together this event, from management, business partners, the talent, creative and beyond. This event followed our highly successful Australasian Law Awards event at Sydney Town Hall, and we're all very excited about the future of our company and clients. It's shaping up to be a very exciting and rewarding year for all of us. Interested parties can follow some of the excitement in the online galleries of Human Statue Bodyart and Human Entertainment".
